The mission of the Sigonella Elementary School PTO is to directly support the educational goals of Sigonella Elementary School through both financial support and volunteer activities.
From a financial perspective, the PTO coordinates fundraising events and provides funds to support additional learning tools and incentives to make learning fun for our students. Online tools such as IXL.com and BrainPop are paid for entirely by funds raised by the PTO, as well as support for activities such as Math Knight, Author Visits, and materials for musical productions presented by elementary students. This support has averaged over $30,000 annually and is a key part of the educational experience at Sigonella Elementary.
As important as financial support is to SES, it’s the volunteer efforts of our parents and teachers that make the largest impact. Parents and teachers work together to coordinate and staff events such as School Pictures, Scholastic book ordering, Box Tops for Education, the annual School Carnival, and many others. We are proud to be a key member of the SES community and are always looking for motivated members to help carry on our mission.
Monthly meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month in Room 106 at SES. See you there!
